Phulkari Garden of Threads

Love * Memory

Threads bloom like fields in spring, every stitch a gesture of love.

Origin:
Punjab

The flower-work is hand-embroidered on coarse, waste fabric. The silk floss is worked on the back of the fabric in long, wild stitches, resulting in patterns blooming on the front.

Phulkari was never made to sell,  it lived in trunks, stitched over the years, and gifted at occasions, a love letter on fabric.
